Originally formed in June 2022, this group offers a welcoming and supportive space for those who would like to use writing as a way of enhancing their wellbeing through reflection on personal experience.

The purpose of the group is to provide a safe, non-judgemental environment in which members can enjoy writing for pleasure and personal use.

Using a variety of themes and starting points, we explore many different forms of written expression.

Participants are warmly encouraged to write during each session. Sharing is always optional. If you choose to read your writing aloud or share it in another way, it will be received with respect and without critique.

The group is gently facilitated and leadership is shared. Participants are encouraged to suggest ideas and themes, whether for part or all of a session.

This is not a lesson, lecture, or creative writing class.
There is no focus on writing for publication, nor are there checks on spelling, grammar, style, or content.
The emphasis is simply on writing as a means of personal expression and feeling better.

Some writing materials are provided. The group covers the cost of room hire around £2-£3 each.
Maximum size of the group is 15 participants.

New members are very welcome.
