The Country & Natural History Group is open to all current members of Belper & District u3a.

New members very welcome

We are interested in the natural world; plants, animals, geology, climate etc. and in the impact of human beings on that world.

During the colder months of the year, we have talks from guest speakers and our own members, practical workshops e.g. making Christmas Wreaths from hedgerow materials; making hedgerow baskets planted up with primroses for Easter.

In the Spring and Summer, we organise field trips to local nature reserves often with a knowledgeable guide.

Details of each meeting will be sent out to members before the date. They will also be included in the u3a Newsletter.

All our events are free, but we may take a collection to cover the cost of room hire or to make a donation to the speaker, who often speaks for free, so please bring some change with you - just in case!

With the environment in mind we are happy to help members arrange car sharing for any of the meetings held outside of Belper.
