Dear Member,
The Annual General Meeting of Belper and District u3a will take place on Friday December 11th 2026 at 10.00a.m. in the Strutts’ Community Centre.

In order to make the Executive Committee up to the full complement set out in the Constitution which is 12, there are 5 Trustee vacancies this year. There is one Officer post to be filled, that of Vice Chair, and if possible, 4 non-officers.

The Committee wishes to emphasise to all members, that it legally cannot continue to run the u3a without 4 officers. It is therefore very important that nominations are received to fill these positions, especially that of Vice Chair as soon as possible, and of course before the deadline of 28/10/26.

Nomination and resolution forms, all of which must have a proposer and seconder, should be sent to the Business Secretary, Susan Austwick, 14 Patterdale Rd, Alvaston, Derby DE24 8FE, to be received by 28th October at the latest.

Prior to the meeting, the minutes of the last AGM and this year’s agenda and Annual Report will be sent out by email. For those members who do not have an email address, paper copies will be posted out.

At the meeting, members and visitors will have the opportunity to socialise, partake of complimentary light refreshments and enjoy the entertainment provided before the AGM by ‘Rock Choir.’

We do hope that you will be able to join us for the meeting. However, the AGM is for members and associate members only and visitors will be asked to leave the hall at 11 o’clock when the AGM officially starts.
